Arsonist Gone Wild

So what’s up America did you feel hot this month? Did you smell something burning? Matter a fact, yes, you did. It seems that October was a month for fires and on at least 3 different occasions across the country there have been arsons plain and simple. Now usually you would say a fire, big deal, but the occurrences were extremely odd.

In Conroe, Texas, authorities are investigating an arson fire at a Garden Ridge Pottery Home Décor store. That store is reporting a loss of 15 million dollars in profits. The fire was in fact found to be non accidental, therefore intentional.

Going to Mississippi, Rose Farms Custom Cycles was burnt down to a blaze. ATF and Mississippi State officials are offering a $5,000 reward on that incident. The loss of value on this business was $400,000. This fire was declared to be deliberately set.

Clicking your heels and going to Kansas, the Overland Park police department has declared a fire at the Evergreen Apartment Complex to be set deliberately. The fire raked up a whopping three quarters of a million dollars in damages. Luckily, no one was injured. A $5,000 reward is also issued for the conviction of the perpetrator.

Given the economy and the correlation to insurance money on damages you wonder if people are cashing out. Is this a chain occurrence shared by people suffering a loss, or do we have a serial arsonists on the loose? Hopefully authorities can get to the bottom of this, and I don’t get set on fire.
